J’Anna
has a wide range of country and folk music experience. At 14, she
first distinguished herself in the old-time fiddling world and became
the first woman to win the Grand Master’s Fiddling competition
in Nashville. She went on to appear several times on the Grand Ole
Opry and the Porter Wagner show. In addition, she has been a featured
performer with Glen Campbell, Merle Haggard and Pam Tillis with whom
she toured with in 1999.
In
her teens she won numerous fiddling contest throughout the U.S. among
them, the California State Jr. Fiddling Championship and the National
Jr. Fiddling Championship in Weiser, Idaho.
Along
with her country music background, she has a great love of and interest
in Celtic music. She has performed and recorded with several groups
that specialize in Irish and Scottish music.
