In these genres she is able to combine her classical background and technique with her enthusiasm for the energy and electricity of rock, pop and more cutting-edge music. She has a natural pop sensibility and is able to enhance a song with her violin, viola and guitar work without sounding out-of-place or contrived. She delights in bringing forth the organic elements of acoustic instruments to complement the electric or more aggressive environment of rock, pop and dance music. J’Anna believes this area of music offers the most potential for new and inventive ways to use strings in music today.
